Every day and season is a great one to exercise your dog!
Tails & Trails provides dogs the outdoor exercise and refreshment they need to maintain good health, energy and a positive mental disposition ~ to be the dogs that God created them to be!
If, for whatever reason, you’re not exercising your dogs, we propose that they need Tails & Trails!

Walks
Walks are provided around and through client neighborhoods and proximate lakes, parks and woods.
Two walk lengths are available: Short Walks (30-45 minutes) and Long Walks (50-60 minutes). Long Walks are15-20 minutes longer than the standard Short Walk provided by your caregiver. A minimum of 30 minutes is ensured for Short Walks, and 50 minutes for Long Walks.
Walks are offered year-round in all weather conditions except rain, lightning, snowstorm, heavy ice, and extreme temperatures.
Truly, each day and season is a great one to walk your dog!
Dog Packs
Dogs are walked in multiple, as a pack, if available. A pack is the natural social context for dogs; dogs in a pack typically walk with confidence, focus and a sense of communal harmony.
Pack walking:
~ Is a healthy, appropriate and comfortable way for dogs to be exercised and socialized
~ Heightens the pleasure of the walk for the dog
~ Builds up the character of dogs as dogs
Dogs find pack walking to be an exciting, gratifying and rejuvenating experience.
Very often, dogs walked in a pack will be less aggressive with unfamiliar dogs who are encountered in non-walk situations, and calmer overall, or vice versa, less shy and hestitant, if that is more their nature.
Packs are always led by the human Pack Leader /Tails & Trails caregiver, who remains the dominant personality, reinforces behavior standards, and promotes a harmonious, balanced relationship between the dog, the pack and the human pack leader.
Packs are always sized to be secure and well-managed at all times. Equivalent sizing of dogs in the pack is not important or necessary for the pack to be cohesive and peaceful.
Note: For liability and animal safety reasons, Tails & Trails does not currently provide off-leash time outdoors, except within a client's own fenced yard.

Pet Boarding
When you will be away for a period of time and leaving your animals behind, Tails & Trails offers you the great option of a clean, calm, safe, peaceful family home environment for your pets' respite and delight.
We have an open communications and open door policy, which means that you are free to directly contact your animals' care provider and evaluate the environment of their stay before your boarding commitment.
Our terms are also a limited pet occupancy; your dogs will not be one of many, but, at most, one of few, ensuring their place as "top dogs" of the home (or, at least "co-top-dogs"!) and recipients of all the focused affection and attention your caregiver has to offer.
We accomplish this at a reasonable rate because we have distributed caregiving ~ highly screened, trustworthy contracted residents of your community who meet our high standards and who are enthusiastic about hosting dogs during their owners' absence.
Tails & Trails caregivers provide walks, concentrated attention, and responsible and affectionate care. Client provides all food, collar and leash, toys, treats, and bedding.
Primarily in service of dogs; cats and other animals upon availability. Dogs who have behavior problems, are difficult to manage, or are aggressive may not be suitable for this service.
While you're away, we promise to love and care for your animals as you do!
Pet Sitting
Tails & Trails also offers 'in your home' animal care during your absence as an alternative to boarding. This service is also provided by highly screened, trustworthy contracted residents of your community who meet our high standards and who can love and care for your dogs as you do while you're away.
Pet sitting services are provided with professionalism, reliability and flexibility so that you can be confident that your unique family and animal needs will be met as you specify.
